Char Dham Yatra consists of four holy pilgrimage sites namely Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. These are one of the most visited pilgrimage sites by devout Hindus.

Gangotri Dham: It is thought that Gangotri, one of the main four Dhams is the source and seat of the River Ganga, hence, the origin of the name Gangotri. The Gangotri temple was built by the Gurkha general Amar Singh Thapa on the banks of the river Bhagirathi. The origins of the holy Bhagirathi River later acquired the name “Ganga” (Ganges) is located at Gaumukh near the Gangotri Glacier at a 19 km trek from Gangotri itself.

Yamunotri Dham: The Yamunotri Dham is usually the first leg of the yatra located about 4500 meters above sea level in Garhwal Himalayas close to the Chinese border in the Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand state.
It is here that the river Yamuna starts to flow and there is a temple dedicated to worshipping the goddess the Yamuna called the Yamunotri temple.

Kedarnath Dham: The temple at Kedarnath is considered as one of the holiest of all Hindu temples dedicated to Lord Shiva, the destroyer or transformer of the Hindi trinity of gods who is often depicted consuming intoxicant such as “som” or bhang. “Kedar” is another name of Lord Shiva, the protector and the destroyer who has manifested in many forms.

Badrinath Dham: The Badrinath Dham located along the Alaknanda River in the hilly town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand state is the last leg of the Chardham yatra. The Badrinath temple is also known as the Badrinarayan temple was established by Adi Shankara who found the Badrinarayan idol in the Alakananda River.

Chardham Yatra Iteniary from Haridwar

1st Day: Delhi to Haridwar (N.S)(220kms/6-7hrs)
Pick up from Delhi and drive to Haridwar, on arrival at Haridwar check-in Hotel and relax, if time permits visit Har Ki Pauri in the evening for Ganga Aarti. Overnight at Haridwar hotel.

2nd Day: Haridwar to Saynachati / Barkot (N.S)(210kms/7-8hrs)
The journey starts from Haridwar to Barkot. On arrival check-in Hotel. Overnight at the hotel.

3rd Day: Saynachati /Barkot to Yamunotri and back Saynachati (N.S)(36kms & 6kms trek one side)
Early morning drive to Jankichatti, start 6 km trek from Janki Chatti to Yamunotri either by walk, doli or by horse at your own cost. On arrival at Yamunotri, take a bath in hot Jamunabai Kund then go for Temple darshan, after having Temple darshan you can also cook rice by packing it in a cloth and dipping it in the hot water of the tapta kund. Pilgrims take this cooked rice back to home as “Prasad”. After this back down to Jankichatti and then proceed to Barkot. Overnight at hotel.

4th Day: Saynachati / Barkot to Uttarkashi (N.S)(110kms/5-6hrs)
Morning checks out from the hotel and drives to Uttarkashi. On arrival check-in the hotel, In the evening we will visit the famous temple of Kashi–Viswnath at Uttarkashi and then back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

5th Day: Uttarkashi to Gangotri and back Uttarkashi (N.S)(108kms/5-6hrs one side)
Early morning drive to Gangotri. At Gangotri take a holy dip in the river Ganga, It’s also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Then go for Temple darshan, after temple darshan drives back to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

6th Day: Uttarkashi to Sirsi(N.S)(210kms/8-9hrs)
Morning checks out from the hotel and then drive to Sirsi. On arrival at Sirsi check-in the hotel, in the evening we will visit the famous temple of Kashi –Vishwnath at Guptkashi. After temple darshan back to the hotel for an overnight stay.

7th Day: Sirsi to Kedarnath and night halt or by helicopter:
Early morning check-out from the hotel and reach Kedarnath by trek or by helicopter, you can hire horse or doli on your own cost, After darshan check in to the hotel. Overnight stay at Kedarnath

8th Day: Kedarnath to Sirsi night halt. or by helicopter
Early morning check-out from the hotel and reach Sirsi, Overnight stay at Hotel

9th Day: Sirsi to Badrinath (N.S)(210kms/8-9hrs)

11th Day: Rudraprayag to Haridwar via Rishikesh (160kms/7-8hrs)
Morning checks out from the hotel and drives to Haridwar via Rishikesh. check in to the hotel at Haridwar.

12th Day: Haridwar to Delhi drop (220kms/6-7hrs)
