Char Dham are the names of four pilgrimage sites in India that are widely revered by Hindus. The pilgrimages sites in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath were known as Chota Char Dham to differentiate them from the bigger circuit of Char Dham sites,but after the mid – 20th century they have been also referred to as the Char Dham. The amazing valleys of the Great Himalayas proudly reflect thousands years old legends and history by beholding these sacred shrines at different districts namely Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Rudraprayag on the splendid Garhwal hills.
