Jim Corbett National Park – Tourist spot in Uttarakhand, one of the first wildlife reserves in India derive its name from the renowned hunter who transformed into a conservationist, Colonel Jim Corbett. Nestled at the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, the park extends over a tract of 520 square kilometres. It is a large valley with forested ridges running through it. The Ramganga river winds through its entire length, and dense Sal and deciduous forests cover the parking area. Visitors are allowed in from mid-November to mid-June. The main animals found in the national park include tiger, elephant, chital, sambar, nilgai, gharial, King Cobra, muntjac, wild boar, hedgehog, common musk shrew, flying fox, Indian Pangolin and nearly 600 species of birds.

Tourists can spot tigers, elephants, chital, sambar, nilgai, wild boar and about 600 species of birds with Corbett Wildlife Tours. Home to around 110 species of trees, 33 species of bamboo and grass and handsome Sal trees, Corbett National Park is sure to impress all. Try fishing and angling in the Ramganga River and enjoy every moment in the beautiful paradise of the wild with Uttaranchal Tours. Jim Corbett National Park offers jeep safari and elephant safari, each having its charm. In fOne try both. Elephant safari is slow but can take you to the le tracks where jeeps can’t go. The geographical features of the Park are embrembraceerous ravines, ridges, streams and small plateaus. The Ramganga river also flows through the Park. Visitors can enjoy angling and fishing in the Park. However, fishing is allowed only at Pancheshwar, Ramgarh and Binsar with special permission from the forest officials.
